The TCU Horned Frogs wanted to make a statement on the recruiting to start the Jamie Dixon era, and on Wednesday they got that done with Jaylen Fisher. On Wednesday the former UNLV commitment decided to make his intentions known, and he picked TCU.
The connection for TCU with Fisher was assistant coach Ryan Miller who recruited Fisher to UNLV. Now with Miller on staff with TCU, he was able to once again the secure Fisher's services over the hometown Memphis Tigers.
"I chose TCU for four main reasons," said Fisher. "First because of the close relationship my family and I have built over the last year and a half with Coach Ryan Miller."
Fisher continued, "The second reason reason is the resume of Head Coach Jamie Dixon and his proven track record for developing talent and winning."
He went on, "Also the commitment the university has placed on making basketball a priority was important to me. Finally the opportuity to have the ball in my hands from day one in the Big XII made TCU the right fit for me."
Fisher is one of the highest rated commitments ever for TCU. He should help to jump start things for the Horned Frogs with his speed and ability to get others involved as a point point who is pass first point guard.
