Brandon Johns continues to see his recruitment expand

Four-star forward Brandon Johns is one of the better 2018 prospects in the Midwest, and he continues to add to his recruitment this spring.

Class of 2018 prospect Brandon Johns has had a very impressive spring with Spiece Indy Heat. Playing up in age in the EYBL isn’t easy, but Johns has excelled and college coaches continue to take notice of the versatile forward.

“The spring is going really good,” said Johns. “I am adjusting to the EYBL and I think it is really helping my game out.”

He continued, “I’ve been focused on my ball handling and my free throws, and just improving my ball skills overall.”

On the recruiting trail a wide range of schools have been tracking Johnson who continues to check out all of his options.

“I’ve been talking to Michigan, Michigan State, Wisconsin, Alabama, and Iowa,” said Johns. “I have offers from Alabama and Iowa.”

Living just minutes from the Michigan State campus, Johns has had several opportunities to check out games and look around.

About the Spartans, Johns said, “It is a great school and a great campus. They have a great program, and I like them a lot. It is definitely a school I will consider.”

Another school he had the chance to visit is Michigan. Ann Arbor is located close to home and Johns liked his visit to the school.

“Michigan is saying they are interested,” said Johns. “I went for an unofficial visit a couple of months ago and I liked the campus and the program in general.”

For now Johns is simply focusing on getting better, but he hopes to visit all of the schools showing him significant interest before coming to a decision.
