Tangara Has A Leader

Mohamed Tangara finished up an unofficial visit to Michigan on Sunday. We caught up with the Mount Zion big man at the airport, shortly after his return.

Mohamed Tangara has four schools that he's interested in right now. Arizona, Michigan, Louisville and Miami are in the mix. Florida and Memphis are trying to break into the first tier of schools but just haven't yet.

Over the weekend, Tangara spent a few days on the Michigan campus for his unofficial visit. "I liked the players and the school," Tangara said of the Wolverines who have been recruiting him hard the past couple of years.

"I asked a lot of questions about the school. It's like a top 10 school and I liked Coach Amaker a lot."

Still, the program everyone seems to chasing right now is Arizona. "Arizona is the leader," Tangara said. "And then Miami."

The big man from Mali has been pleased with the interest level coming out of Arizona. In fact, he's going to try and take a visit to Tucson as soon as he takes and receives his SAT score.

"I'm trying to take the test. Once I take the test I'll make my decision right quick."

And at least for now, Arizona is at the top of the list.
