Anthony Duruji commits to Louisiana Tech

Louisiana Tech reeled in 2017 forward Anthony Duruji on Tuesday.

2017 forward Anthony Duruji is headed to Louisiana Tech, he told Scout early Tuesday morning.

"I chose Louisiana Tech because the relationship I developed with them is very unique," Duruji said. "They're just genuine people and want me to succeed in life. They liked me as a person first and not just basketball. That was very important to me."

Duruji picked Louisiana Tech over significant interest from Saint Joseph's, UCF, Dayton and UAB.

A 6-foot-7 forward, Duruji is a bouncy, high-level athlete that excels in transition has showcased his ability this spring with Team Takeover. 

Through 10 games on the EYBL circuit, Duruji is averaging 6.3 points and 3.9 rebounds a game. 

Duruji, of Bethesda (Md.) St. Andrew's Episcopal, is regarded as a three-star prospect on Scout.
