Four-star Chaundee Brown keeps adding offers

Athletic wing Chaundee Brown has put up huge numbers since joining the EYBL, and big time scholarship offers are coming through for him.

One of the more athletic and higher scoring wings in the EYBL at the moment is Chaundee Brown. Since joining Nike South Beach, Brown has been one of the most consistent players on the circuit, and more schools are continuing to take notice.

“It has been a good spring,” noted Brown. “I switched teams. I just thought it was a better fit for me. I think I am playing well right now, and I want to get better, but so far it has been a good spring.”

He continued, “I am working on my ball handling, defense, and rebounding. I am just trying to do all the little things to help the team win.”

When it comes to his recruiting Brown remains open, and says a lot of schools are stepping up the interest in him.

“Wake Forest, Connecticut, Maryland, Florida State, Florida, Syracuse, and Georgia, those are some of the top schools recruiting me,” noted Brown.

During the season Brown had a chance to make it to Florida to watch the Gators take on Kentucky, and he came away impressed with what he saw.

“It was just a crazy atmosphere,” noted Brown of his visit to Gainesville. “Kentucky always brings out the best in an opponent, and it was just a great atmosphere and I had a lot of fun.”

At this point Brown doesn’t have an offer from the Florida State Seminoles, but he has been there several times and the coaching staff remains in contact.

“It was good to see the environment there,” said Brown of Florida State. “They haven’t offered yet, but the visits there were nice. I had a good time and I liked the atmosphere.”

Further from home is Syracuse. The Orange are keeping up their recruitment of Brown, and continue to be a factor.

“They keep in touch,” said Brown of Syracuse. “They keep in touch and have been telling me to work on my game, so it is good to hear from them.”

For now Brown says he is holding off on setting any official visits until after the AAU season. From there he will begin to narrow down his list and take a look at where he wants to go.

When it comes down to making a decision, Brown does know what he will be looking for in a school.

“I am just looking for a good coaching staff at a place that really wants me,” explained Brown. “Also I am looking for a school that plays at a face pace and competes on defense.”
