Horton: End Drawing Near?

Don't be surprised if Jason Horton ends his recruitment sooner than later. We caught up with the assist machine on Tuesday and you could tell he's getting close.

Missouri has been collecting commitments the last few days. Kalen Grimes got things started in July and just this week Glen Dandridge and Marshall Brown pledged to sign with the Tigers.

Could Jason Horton be next? Absolutely.

When asked if he was ready to commit in the next two days, Horton was honest. "I wouldn't say that but it's getting real close."

In recruit speak, "real close" could mean anywhere from a few days to two weeks. In fact, Horton confirmed that was the time frame.

Horton confirmed that the Tigers led and that Arizona State was presently second with Kansas and Arkansas in the mix, though the fact is neither has a realistic shot barring some turnaround here late in the game.

Can ASU do anything to move up to No. 1 was the question posed to Horton. "I don't know really," was the response.

Missouri and Arizona State have been recruiting Horton the longest. Still, it's the Tigers with the inside track. "I took a visit, liked the coaches and I think it'll be a good situation for me."

And so the wait continues. Can Missouri hang on? Will Arizona State make up ground? We should know very soon.
