Bryan Trimble commits to FSU

Florida State picked up their first pledge of the 2017 class with a commitment from Bryan Trimble.

2017 guard Bryan Trimble verbally committed to Leonard Hamilton, Florida State, he tells Scout.

“As soon as I stepped foot on their campus, I felt at home,” Trimble told Scout. “It wasn’t just me, also my mother. She felt like it was right place and the way I grew up, mom is always right.”

“There is nothing but good people around there,” he added. “Their coaches have great personalities and their facilities are nice.”

Trimble, who runs with MoKan Elite on the Nike EYBL circuit, visited FSU this past weekend. Trimble opted for the Seminoles over Oklahoma State, SMU, Georgia, Providence and Michigan.

“The coaches did a good job explaining to me that I can come in and they can help me,” Trimble said. “Everything that they have to give fits me.”

Florida State assistant Dennis Gates spotted Trimble, a 6-foot-3 guard out of Wichita (Kans.) Sunrise Christian Academy, during the opening evaluation period in New York.

“Since the day he called, he’s done nothing but reach out to not only me, but my mother and the people that are helping me. He did a good job with that and staying in touch and staying on my academic case.”

Trimble is the first member of the 2017 class to commit to Florida State.
