Johnson, a native of Ohio, visited Mark Gottfried’s program last week and followed it up with a trip to Texas A&M. Johnson recently announced his intentions to reclassify from 2017 to the 2016 class.
The Wolfpack have had a successful close to their class, adding five-star Turkish big man Omer Yurtseven in the late Spring, as well as Mississippi native Darius Hicks.
Those three prospects will join top 10 recruit Dennis Smith, who enrolled in December to help with his recovery from an ACL injury, to make up their 2016 class.
Johnson was the second to last top 100 prospect to come off the board in the class. The only prospect remaining in the top 100 is Kostas Antetokounmpo, the brother of Milwaukee Buck forward Giannis Antetokounmpo.
