FIBA U17: 1 on 1 with 5-star Wendell Carter

ZARAGOZA, Spain -- Wendell Carter, Scout's No. 3 overall recruit, scored 14 points in USA's opening round win in the FIBA U17 World Championships. Following he game, Carter talked to Scout about playing international ball, teaming up for Austin Wiley again, plus broke down Harvard, Duke and Kentucky.

USA knocked off Chinese Tapei in dominating fashion and Wendell Carter was among the reasons why.

The USA team went to Carter early in the game and the opposition didn't have anyone that could handle the 6-foot-10, 235-pounder in the paint. Carter used his strength to get good post position, but he also showed his offensive arsenal scoring easily around the basket. He's equipped with terrific hands, nice scoring touch around the basket and is getting more and more confident with his jump shot.

Scout's No. 3 prospect, Carter finished with 14 points in the first round win. USA returns to action on Friday against Turkey.
