Morrow Schedules Four Visits

Charlotte Latin swingman Anthony Morrow is ahead of the game these days. He's already down to four schools and has scheduled visits with each.

In the old days, when kids actually visited the campuses they were making commitments to, Anthony Morrow's story wouldn't be so different. However, in August 2003, rare is the scenario in which a prospect commits to and schedules four September official visits. Good for, Anthony.

Morrow, a standout swingman from Charlotte Latin has trimmed his school list to four: Tennessee, North Carolina State, Charlotte and Georgia Tech. "It was hard but I pretty much just with who was recruiting me first and who I like the best."

Though three different conferences are represented among the four schools, they have one thing in common: location. "I knew that all the schools I wanted to go to were good schools and close [to home]. I didn't want my mom to have to get on a plane to come see me play and I won't have to either."

Heading into the visits, NC State appears to hold a slight edge. "I like NC State, but I don't know if I can say they lead because I like all the rest of the schools." Morrow says his mind is open to each of the four.

His visits begin the weekend of Sept. 6 at Tennessee and then follow in consecutive weeks to NC State and Charlotte before finishing up at Georgia Tech.
