TJ Starks commits to Texas A&M

Texas A&M picked up their first commitment in 2017 with the addition of a local standout.

2017 guard T.J. Starks verbally committed to Texas A&M on Thursday, a source tells Scout.

A 6-foot-1 combo guard, Starks picked Billy Kennedy over a host of schools including Oklahoma

Starks helped Lancaster (Tex.) High to a state title during his junior season. He currently runs with Urban DFW Elite on the spring and summer circuit.

Starks is Texas A&M's first pledge of the 2017 class.
