Class of 2019 prospect Bryan Antoine was given an opportunity of a lifetime at a young age when he was invited to the Steph Curry Select Camp. Antoine, who is one of the best prospects in his class, had an opportunity to learn from the two time MVP. Now he keeps adding offers and is primed for a big July.
“It has been an honor to be at the camp,” noted Antoine. “It is helping me with my game and being a point guard and everything like that. It has been a surreal experience to work with Steph Curry and just be out in California.”
On the recruiting trail already Antoine has numerous offers, and has been the guest of several schools for unofficial visits.
“Rutgers, Villanova, Seton Hall, St. John’s, Florida, VCU, Maryland, and a few other schools,” said Antoine of his offers.
Recently Antoine made a visit to Villanova, and the pitch from Jay Wright impressed him.
“With Villanova it is more about academics than basketball,” said Antoine of the Wildcats. “Coach Wright talked about the academics and how you would be set up to succeed after basketball and not just the NBA. That is what stood out to me.”
Maryland has a connection with Antoine through his high school coach Tahj Holden who played for the Terrapins, and that is something that has his attention.
“Our high school coach went to Maryland there is a strong relationship,” said Antoine. “I saw the campus and liked the player’s lounge a lot. It was a nice campus.”
At this point Antoine is in no hurry to make a decision, and says he will take a lot of visits before narrowing down his list, let alone making a commitment.
