Five-star Khavon Moore talks recent visits

Five-star Khavon Moore recently attended the Steph Curry Select Camp and shined. Before that he checked out several of his top college options.

Five-star class of 2018 forward Khavon Moore had a chance to work on his guard skills last week at the Steph Curry Select Camp. Before that Moore made a bit of a visit tour, and had a chance to check out several of his top options.

About the Steph Curry Camp, Moore said, “It was a great experience. I have learned a lot about ball handling and just being a guard and how to watch film.”

He continued, “It helped me a lot to be there. I feel I can play the point, but on the wing as well, so this has helped with my point guard skills.”

When it comes to his recruitment Moore has been very busy. He recently made a visit tour, and he hopes to see more schools in the near future.

“I recently went to Florida, Auburn, Georgia, and Georgia Tech,” said Moore. “Hopefully I can get to Florida State, UCLA, Oklahoma, and Texas.”

When it comes to Florida, Moore said, “Florida was a good experience. I saw the campus and went on a tour of everything. I saw the football field and just learned a lot about the school and academics and stuff like that.”

Josh Pastner and his staff are working hard at Georgia Tech, and Moore is interested by the new coaching staff in Atlanta.

“They say that they want to build the program up and that I am a big part of it,” said Moore of the Yellow Jackets. “It is a really nice campus. I have been there a lot so I have always liked the campus, and I also like the staff.”

About Auburn, Moore said, “Auburn has a real good coaching staff and a great campus. It was a good experience there.”

Georgia is another school that has long been involved with Moore.

About the Bulldogs visit, he said, “I like Coach (Mark) Fox a lot, and he has a good stuff. Also he has a 100 percent graduation rate, so they are good at not only basketball but academics as well.”

For now Moore wants to see all of the schools on his list, but he is continuing to gain information about all of the programs recruiting him.
