Class of 2019 prospect D.J. Jeffries has been extremely impressive during his first run on the national stage this spring and summer. The native of Mississippi has shined with Team Thad, and has clearly asserted himself as one of the premier prospects in his class.
Recently Jeffries spent time at the Steph Curry Select Camp, and he said the experience with the two time MVP left an impression.
“It was a good experience,” said Jeffries. “I had a chance to get better, and show myself against the top players in each class.”
He continued about the camp, “(Curry) taught us how to move without the ball, how to set our feet, and get how to get my jump shot right, so it was a good experience.”
On the recruiting trail numerous schools have already offered Jeffries.
“Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Texas A&M, Iowa State, Alabama, and Wake Forest offered me,” he listed.
At this point Jeffries says he has had only had a chance to get down and see Ole Miss, and he is building a bond with the coaches already.
“I visited Ole Miss,” said Jeffries. “I liked that visit. It is a good campus. The coaches are really good, and they say they are trying to get me to stay at home.”
For now Jeffries is just taking things slowly and he plans on taking many more visits and playing things out before narrowing down his list.
