Chaundee Brown continued to shine at the Nike Peach Jam

NORTH AUGUSTA, SC - Four-star shooting guard Chaundee Brown has been impressive so far in July, and Thursday he was tremendous for Nike South Beach at the Peach Jam. More and more coaches seem to be coming in to get a glimpse of Brown.

He was good during the spring, but so far at the Nike Peach Jam Chaundee Brown has been tremendous. The athletic and tough wing has been one of the best performers all event long and that continued in a big way on Thursday.

Though his team lost in a thrilling game to Meanstreets, Brown was tremendous. He led Nike South Beach about every single way possible. Brown showed his athleticism going to the rim, he made good decisions with the basketball, and most of all he shot the ball really well.

Brown scored 24 points, grabbed 7 rebounds, and dished out 3 assists. He did all of that on only 10-15 shooting from the field, including 3-5 from beyond the three point arc.

What is so impressive about Brown is how he can impact the game without needing to totally dominate the action. Nearly all of his points came within the flow of the game, and Brown was tremendous at not forcing the ball, and pressing while putting his team in a bad position.

With his play more and more colleges appear to be looking in at Brown. Wake Forest Head Coach Danny Manning has been a consistent presence at his games, as has coaches from Connecticut including Kevin Ollie. Other schools who have been seen there include Florida State, Miami, Xavier, Florida, Georgia Tech, Georgia, and others.

Brown has said he wants to make official visits before coming to a decision, and he likely won’t narrow his list down until after the summer. With the way he is playing it looks like that school list could get longer before it gets shorter.
