NY2LA: 2018 PG Courtney Ramey goes off, discusses recruitment

MEQUON, Wisc. -- On the opening night of the second July evaluation period, Courtney Ramey stole the show by nailing five three-pointers and showing off his tremendous vision.

Evaluation Notes

2018 point guard Courtney Ramey had the best performance on the first night of the NY2LA Summer Jam.

In the opening round of pool play Ramey led the Jets to a convincing win over the UPlay 16's, who were missing RJ Barrett and Nembhard. Regardless, Ramey was the best player on the court and it wasn't close. He was effective off the dribble, put on a passing clinic and made five three-pointers.

Ramey is quick and he used hesitation moves, nifty ball handling and change of pace to get by defenders. Once by, Ramey would either kick to an open man, which he did quite often, or drop in a runner in the lane, which he connected on twice. His vision and passing stood out, but as did his shot making.

But it wasn't just offensively where Ramey excelled, the 6-foot-3 guard is long, slides his feet well laterally and gives good effort on that end of the floor.
