NY2LA: 1 on 1 with five-star PG Ayo Dosunmu

MEQUON, Wisc. -- One of the top point guards in the 2018 class -- Ayo Dosunmu -- put his full game on display at the NY2LA Summer Jam. Following a Mac Irvin Fire win, Dosunmu talked to Scout about Illinois, Northwestern and the latest in his recruitment.

Evaluation Notes

Ayo Dosunmu made his way into Scout's 2018 player rankings in the spring and he's certainly proved a lofty ranking is warranted based on his play at the NY2LA Summer Jam.

At 6-foot-4, Dosunmu has very good size and length for the point guard position. He's long, has a very quick first step and is a good athlete. Dosunmu looks to drive the ball and consistently gets into the paint. He has good vision and is a quality passer. But he's also equipped to score once he gets in the paint. He finishes well through contact, is capable of tough, high glass finishes and has runners in his arsenal. Defensively, Dosunmu has a lot of potential, because of his length, instincts and lateral quickness.

Dosunmu is currently regarded as the No. 19 overall prospect and the No. 4 point guard in the 2018 class.
