GASO: Head coaches evaluate Marcus Garrett

DUNCANVILLE, Tex. -- 2017 guard Marcus Garrett was one of the main attractions at the Great American Shootout, which was held at the Bob Knight Fieldhouse and at Duncanville High School. The Dallas (Tex.) Skyline standout impressed with his facilitating.

One of the most highly sought after players in Texas is 6-foot-5 guard Marcus Garrett.

On Saturday, the Dallas (Tex.) Skyline standout played in front of Bill Self, Scott Drew, Johnny Jones, Brad Underwood and a host of other schools.

In two viewings, Garrett impressed with his vision, passing, court awareness and his ability to defend multiple positions on the court.

"He's shifty, long and fast," one high major assistant coach said.

Although shooting appears to be an area he needs to work on, he did come up big, making three three-pointers in a win over Texas Pro.

It's easy to see why he's reeled in so many high major scholarship offers. His ability to play multiple positions and his skill level make him an intriguing long term prospect.

Garrett told Scout that he's yet to take any college visits, but he said he wants to visit Kansas and Oregon in the near future.
