One of the top prospects in 2019 comes from North Hollywood (Calif.) Harvard-Westlake in Cassius Stanley.
The 6-foot-5, 190-pound wing has had no trouble playing up at the 17u level this summer with Cal Supreme, as he’s shown his athleticism, vision, ability to knock down shots, playmaking in transition and extreme upside.
“I’m facilitating and getting to the rim,” Stanley said. “I still need to work on my perimeter shot and my defense.”
“I love the atmosphere and the campus of UCLA as well as the playing style. With USC I like the way they’re up and down; I like that a lot,” Stanley said.
“I’m still learning about Alabama but I know UNLV is pretty up-tempo too.”
The general feeling in Stanley’s recruitment is that he won’t go too far from home but he says he’s open to anything.
“I’ll pretty much go anywhere,” Stanley said.
