Utah lands commitment from 2016 forward Chris Seeley

Chris Seeley gave Utah a late addition to its 2016 recruiting class on Thursday, committing to the Utes during an official visit.

Utah received a late addition to its 2016 recruiting class on Thursday, when 6-foot-6, 210-pound Fresno (Calif.) Central forward Chris Seeley pledged to the Utes.

The previously unsigned senior had narrowed his down to Oregon StateTCUUTEP and Washington State before choosing Utah during an official visit.

Seeley is an undersized four with plus athleticism. He's got a good frame with long arms, should be able to defend multiple positions and rebounds well. He's raw offensively but has improved as a shooter and has upside due to his size and athleticism.

According to LeRohn Dodson, who coaches Seeley with Splash City, the Utah coaching staff played a big role in his decision.

"At the end of the day, Chris felt in his heart that this was the place for him," Dodson said. "He felt they had the best support system for him on and off the court.

"He felt extremely comfortable with the whole staff. Coaches DeMarlo Slocum and Andy Hill did a tremendous job of recruiting Chris."
