Four-star point guard Isaiah Washington keeps adding college interest

Point guard Isaiah Washington continues to add serious interest after a big summer on the AAU circuit.

Four-star point guard Isaiah Washington was one of the more impressive floor generals in the 2017 class during the month of July. Washington saw his stock soar, and over the weekend with St. Raymond’s High School he continued to prove himself.

“I had a great summer overall,” said Washington. “More schools started looking at me. Sadly AAU season had to end, but it was a good ride with New Heights.”

Seton Hall and Minnesota have been the two schools involved with Washington the longest, but now he says numerous other schools have really picked up the interest.

“Alabama, Butler, Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech, Kansas, UNLV, USC, and a few other schools have come in,” said Washington.

Washington has been to Seton Hall and Minnesota in an unofficial capacity, and while official visits are upcoming, nothing is currently set in stone.

“I don’t have any visits planned yet,” noted Washington. “I will probably set some up later this month.”

When it comes to Minnesota, Washington said, “That program is really good. They have been recruiting me very hard since my freshman year. They are showing me a lot of love and I appreciate it a lot.”

About Seton Hall, he said, “Seton Hall is one of my top schools. They are showing a lot of interest, and I like the coaching staff.”

Look for Washington set up visits to schools that he hasn’t seen for officials. When that does happen, Washington knows what he will be looking for in a school.

“I am just looking for a place where it is like one big family and where they get up and down and play at a fast tempo,” said Washington.
