Nate Watson cuts list, sets visit

Top 60 recruit Nate Watson has harrowed his list of schools and set up five visits.

Four-star post player Nate Watson cut his list of schools and set up five visits.

Watson, of Arlington (Va.) Bishop O'Connell, is down to Wake ForestNC StateProvidenceMaryland and Miami (Fl), according to his coach Fred Howze.

Watson has scheduled four official visits and one unofficial. He'll start things off at NC State for an official visit on August 22nd and 23rd. The next day he'll slide over to Wake Forest for an unofficial visit. 

Watson will then visit Providence officially the weekend of September 10th. Maryland will get their crack for their official the weekend of October 1st. His last scheduled official visit is the Miami the weekend of October 8th. 

The current plan is for Watson, who emerged this spring and summer as a top 100 prospect, is to make an early college choice.

"Before high school season," Howze told Scout.

"So late October, early November unless he comes back off one of these visits and wants to pull the trigger," he added.

Watson is regarded as the No. 13 center and No. 58 overall prospect in the 2017 class.
