Class of 2018 forward Louis King is one of the most naturally talented players in the country. At 6-foot-8 he has the size, athleticism, and skill to be a star, and now he is continuing to improve and become more consistent.
About the month of July and his play, King said, “I think I did good. I played well and I just want to keep working hard so I can pick up some new offers.”
On the recruiting trail schools like St. John’s, Syracuse, and Seton Hall had all made King a priority early on, and then during the spring and summer several others came calling to step up their efforts.
“Indiana, Connecticut, and Rutgers were the most recent offers for me.
The Hoosiers offered after seeing King during the month of July, and while he is still learning about the school, it is a situation that intrigues him.
“I don’t know a ton about them,” King explained of Indiana. “I just know they are a program with a lot of tradition. They say that they like my ability to handle the ball at my size, and that I am able to make outside shots.”
Rutgers is another school really trying to put on the pressure. The Scarlet Knights are hoping to keep some of the top New Jersey talent home, and they continue to work in this recruitment.
“They are talking to my parents,” said King. “They said they liked my athleticism and my ability to play multiple positions.”
At this point King is a long way from making a decision, but he keeps focusing on getting better, and wants to have a consistent season at Hudson Catholic this year as a junior.
