Four-star wing Luther Muhammad was very good with Hudson Catholic at the recent “Weekend” put on by Live Sports. Muhammad, who is known for his toughness, athleticism, and motor continues to refine his skill level, and right now three schools are recruiting him the hardest.
Playing this summer with Sports U on the grassroots circuit, Muhammad was extremely impressive, and he was happy with how things went.
“It was a great experience,” said Muhammad. “We got another UA Championship, I am proud, and next year we plan to do it again.”
When it comes to his recruitment, Muhammad says three schools are showing him the most interest.
“They basically just let me know how hard they work with their guys, and what they do to get you better,” said Muhammad of Miami. “They are telling me about the whole program, so I like that.”
St. John’s is a school that Muhammad is very familiar with, and he says the Red Storm continue to make him a clear priority.
“I like the option of playing for a former NBA player like Chris Mullin,” said Muhammad. “If anybody can help you it would be a guy who has done it already. Also I have been to see them workout before and their facilities, it is really nice there.”
Fellow Big East school Seton Hall is also working very hard to keep Muhammad close to home.
“Seton Hall’s message is to stay home and win a Big East title and a National Title,” said Muhammad. “They showed me their facilities and it is great. They also do NBA style workouts, so I like it.”
At this point Muhammad says that he has no visits planned, and no specific timeframe for making a college decision
