Jordan McCabe is off the board to the Big XII

West Virginia got on the board with an early commitment in the 2018 class with a flashy point guard.

West Virginia got a jump on the 2018 class on Tuesday evening when Wisconsin native Jordan McCabe made the decision to pick the Mountaineers. McCabe, who is a flashy point guard, announced the decision at his school.

Playing for the Wisconsin Playground Warriors on the adidas Gauntlet. McCabe led the Playground Warriors to one of the best records on the 16 and under level, and did so with his ability to pass and create for teammates.

With his style of play, McCabe can be a bit of a lightning rod, but he did attract interest from schools such as DePaul, Wisconsin Green-Bay, Milwaukee, and Minnesota to go along with the Mountaineers.

In the end however he decided that Bob Huggins’s program was right for him, and committed early before the start of his junior season.

This is the first commitment for the Mountaineers in the 2018 class, and McCabe hopes he can compete for playing time right away.
