R.J. Cole says five schools standout for his services

R.J. Cole had a good summer with the New Jersey Playaz and five schools remain at the top of his list.

Running with the New Jersey Playaz, R.J. Cole was able to show what he was capable of. Cole shot the ball very well all summer long and led the Playaz to a birth in the Peach Jam. Now Cole is beginning to focus on his recruitment, and five schools remain very much in the mix.

About the summer, Cole said, "It went very well. It was a goal of ours to make the Peach Jam and we did. Individually I thought I played well and proved that I can play with any guard in the country."

When it comes to his upcoming season and what he is hoping to show people, Cole said, "I would say that I expect to lead the team to know everything possible and win another state title."

On the recruiting trail five schools are currently making Cole a priority.

"I am still considering Boston, Howard, Loyola-Maryland, Long Island, and Monmouth," said Cole.

Over the weekend Cole made a visit to Boston University and he says that trip went very well.

"I liked it a lot," said Cole. "It is a city atmosphere, the coaches treated me well, and it is a great school."

Cole played very well at "The Weekend" put on by Live Sports to start the post-summer schedule, and with that it is possible Cole could see his stock go up this fall.

When asked if would consider new schools if they came in, Cole said, "Schools can get involved but it would depend on what school. It would have to be the perfect situation because I really like the schools that I have."

In terms of what he is looking for in a program, Cole said, "The school that fits me the best and a coach that I know I feel comfortable with and a great education. Also I’m looking for a good social atmosphere."
