Nick Richards: How do you think the summer went for you?
Evan Daniels: This is the last game of the summer. I’m trying to go out with a bang right now. I enjoyed the summer. It was fun.
How do you think your game has progressed since last year?
I think my offensive game got a little better since last year. I’m still going to be known as a defensive guy. I want to be known as a defensive guy, but I work on my offense every now and then.
How’s the whole recruiting process going?
Basically, everything is still the same to be honest. My recruitment is wide open. I could commit to any school?
Can you go through those five schools and tell me what you like about each one of them?
What I like about Kentucky is they produce a lot of pros and one and dones. Most of the kids they put out stick in the NBA, so I like them. Arizona, they’ve produced two lottery picks in the last two years, so I like them too. Indiana, I don’t really know much about them. Syracuse, they call me every day. I like their offense a lot. Their defense, I don’t really like playing a zone. UConn they produce a lot of bigs, so that’s a major consideration for me.
What’s Indiana’s pitch been to you?
They don’t call me personally. They call my family.
Official visit wise have you had conversations to set them up yet?
I told my family what schools I want to visit before the season starts.
Any schools you know you want to visits?
Probably three right now. Syracuse, Kentucky and Arizona. I want to see those three.
Do you know if you want to decide early or late?
Whenever I feel like it’s the right time, that’s when I’m going to commit.
