The Butler Bulldogs got tremendous news on Monday afternoon when four-star power forward Kyle Young announced his commitment. The Bulldogs, who have long made Young a priority, secured the commitment following his official visit to the school.
In the end Butler was the only school that Young visited in an official capacity. Young, who is the No. 84 ranked player in the country, also had offers from Ohio State, Clemson, and Purdue along with many others throughout the process.
“I am extremely blessed that I got to experience all of this throughout this long and amazing journey,” said Young. “I am proud to finally announce I am committing to Butler University.”
This is a huge commitment for Butler, and one where Chris Holtmann and his staff, led by assistant coach Ryan Pedon, put in a ton of work. Getting him over the Buckeyes was a major coup for the Big East program.
This is the third commitment for the Bulldogs. He joins three-star prospects Cooper Neese and Jerald Butler in what is building as a very strong class.
