Baxter, who finished up his high school career at Oldsmar (Fla.) Christian, originally signed with USF and was expected to play for them this coming season. But last week, Baxter was granted a full release from his Letter of Intent, making him eligible at a school of his choice this coming season.
After fielding more than 20 calls, Baxter settled on three schools and began set up visits to UNLV and Arizona State. UNLV got first crack at him on Tuesday and the 6-foot-9 forward ended his recruitment during the official visit.
This is a significant pick for Marvin Menzies and his staff, as Baxter, who is known for his elite athleticism, has the potential to help them this coming season.
