Darius McNeil commits to Iowa State

Iowa State picked up their third pledge for their 2017 recruiting class on Labor Day with a pledge from three-star guard Darius McNeill.

Steve Prohm, Iowa State added to their 2017 recruiting class on Monday with a pledge from guard Darius McNeill.

McNeill, a 6-foot-2 guard out of Houston (Tex.) Westfield, picked Iowa State over a wide variety of interest that included SMU and Texas Tech.

McNeill committed just a day after his official visit to Iowa State concluded. A three-star prospect, McNeill was recruited to fulfill a combo guard type role for the Cyclones.

This gives Prohm and his staff a trio of recruits in their 2017 class. McNeill joins Terrance Lewis, a 6-foot-5 wing out of Milwaukee, and Keyshawn Feazell, a strong, tough 6-foot-9 post player, to make up their current class.
