Loughry Picks Mount St. Mary's

Achbishop Spalding center Jason Loughry is off the board. Loughry committed to this week to Mount St. Mary's.

Mount St. Mary's first-year coach Milan Brown has himself a strong inside player that kicks off the school's 2004 recruiting efforts.

Jason Loughry, a center from Archbishop Spalding in Severn (MD), is headed to the school.

"It's got everything for me," Loughry said. "I visited there and I liked the players there and the coaches. My parents don't have to travel far to see my games."

The big man also considered Bucknell and Columbia. However, Brown made a strong impression on him. ‘He's a good guy," Loughry said. "I liked what he had to say. I think it's a style of play that fits into my game. It's not too up and down the floor but it resembles what we do at Spalding."

Mount St. Mary's began the year with four scholarships in the Class of 2004. One down, three to go!
