The four-star prospect is originally from Las Vegas, starting his high school career with Las Vegas High School and playing AAU with the Las Vegas Knicks.
What kind of player is Colorado getting in Bey?
The biggest story with Bey is that over the last year, he has made a major step forward as a prospect and went from an undersized four to a versatile small forward.
At 6-foot-7 with long arms and a very good frame, Bey has the size, length and athleticism to guard multiple positions at the next level.
His stroke has improved over time and he's a guy who can hit three-pointers off the catch or also knock down one or two dribble pull-ups.
Bey has a nice feel on the glass and uses his quick hops and explosive athleticism to grab rebounds. He has a good feel and is almost unselfish to a fault, but sees the court very well.
While Bey still needs to become more consistent, his ceiling is very high and the combination of physical tools, improved skill set and upside make him a guy who now projects as a high major prospect.
Given Bey’s upside and Tad Boyle’s ability to get the most of his players, this is a player who has the chance to have a really successful career in Boulder.null
