The Temple Owls got a top priority on Saturday afternoon. Scoring point guard Nate Pierre-Louis decided to commit to the program during his official visit to the school. Pierre-Louis had a very productive high school season and followed it up as one of the best scorers on the Under Armour Association while playing with Sports U.
"I would like to thank all of the schools that took the time to recruit me," announced Pierre-Louis. "Now finally I would like to say I have officially committed to the Temple University Owls."
At this point Pierre-Louis is far more of a scorer than a facilitator, but he does show some ability to make plays for others by breaking down defenses and getting into the lane. Still this commitment is about a kid who is able to make plays scoring the ball. He is a good shooter from deep, and he can get hot in a hurry. Also he is pretty good with his first step quickness allowing him to create space for himself and get into the lane.
The next step for Pierre-Louis is to diversify his game, but he does have the natural ability to put up points.
Schools such as SMU, Georgia Tech, Rutgers,Purdue, and Seton Hall all took long looks at Pierre-Louis.
