Iowa lands top target in Luka Garza

Three-star center Luka Garza made a return trip to Iowa and it was all he needed to see.

Long ago the Iowa Hawkeyes made it clear to Luka Garza that he was a top target for them. Garza made his official visit to the school during the spring, and then over the weekend he decided to make a return trip on his own dime to the Big Ten school.

That return trip resulted in a commitment, "I have decided that I will attend the University of Iowa," announced Garza.

While Garza also considered offers from schools like Georgetown, Indiana, Georgia, and others, it was Iowa that stood out, specifically was his relationship with Fran McCaffery.

"Coach McCaffery and his staff offered me very really early in my process and were consistent all the way through," said Garza. "They really have a family environment that I can see myself in."

A very skilled offensive player, Garza brings the ability to score inside and out to the table. He is also someone with long arms who will give effort on the glass to secure rebounds.
