Kentrevious Jones

Xavier dipped into Georgia again landing Kentrevious Jones

Xavier got good news on Sunday morning when the fourth member of the class, Kentrevious Jones picked the Musketeers.

Xavier is continuing to build on a very good 2017 recruiting class, and now they have added a big into the equation. Kentrevious Jones picked the Musketeers following his official visit to the school. Jones, who is a legit 6-foot-10 and 285 pounds, is one of the biggest and most mobile players for his size in the state of Georgia, and Xavier was able to lock him down following the official visit.

"They have wanted me for a while since they saw me in July," said Jones. "I just liked that it is a real good program and the coaching staff is really nice. I feel like I fit in well with them, and that they can help me become a great player."

Xavier needed to continue to add size as the Musketeers will lose RaShid Gaston following this season and only has two true frontcourt players on the entire roster at the moment. With that Jones saw an opportunity to play.

"They told me what they have done with their other bigs and how they developed them in the past," said Jones. "I like how they will throw the ball down low, and I feel I will get a lot better when I get there."

One of the big factors for Jones was how he fit in with the players from the moment he stepped on campus.

"They treated me like a brother right away," said Jones. "The players were great. I got to meet them and play some open gym as well. The way they treated me was amazing and I just had a great time.
