Kansas leads the way with a huge group of visitors this weekend

Practice is starting around the country for many schools, and several are using it as a huge recruiting weekend. Kansas has the biggest group of visitors coming in, but also schools such as Texas Tech, UCLA, Stanford, Kentucky, and Indiana have big visitors on campus

Kansas hosts elite group of visitors

The place to be this weekend from a recruiting perspective is Lawrence, Kansas. Bill Self and the Jayhawks are hosting one of the most impressive groups of visitors that you will see. Seven different five-star prospects are on campus, and several other four-stars are making their way to Lawrence as well.

The Jayhawks will host players such as Billy Preston, Troy Brown, Collin Sexton, Trevon Duval, Immanuel Quickley, Bol Bol, and Matthew Hurt. All seven of those players rank at the five-star level in 2017, 2018, or 2019.

Joining them will be four-star official visits Tremont Waters and Cody Riley. Also the Jayhawks will have Brandon Williams, Jeremiah Robinson, Grant Sherfield and Markese Jacobs on campus in an unofficial capacity.

While none of the players are currently talking about making a commitment, Sexton, Brown, and Waters are all nearing the end of their recruitments, and the Jayhawks are looking to continue to shore up the backcourt and land a commitment or two out of that group.

Kentucky hosts a key visitor

The Kentucky Wildcats have been said to be gaining momentum behind the scenes with five-star big man Nick Richards, and this weekend the Wildcats have Richards on campus for an official visit.

Richards is one of the best rebounding and shot blocking bigs in the class, and as the summer went on he continued to refine his offensive game.

At the moment no one close to Richards is talking specifics when it comes to a commitment, but there is no doubt that the Wildcats are going to be pushing for one this weekend.

Also stopping by Lexington will be 2018 forward Khavon Moore and 2019 scoring guard Grant Sherfield as well as Kobe Brown.

Pac 12 has huge visitors

Stanford and UCLA both have big visit weekends in the Pac 12. Each of the schools is hosting a pair of huge recruits.

Stanford gets it going this weekend with four-star prospects Matt Coleman and Daejon Davis. A one time commitment to Washington, Davis is a combo guard with a great ability to score along with his plus size and athleticism.

Coleman was once considered a heavy lean to Texas, but Duke had him on campus last week and now the Cardinal get their opportunity. As one of the better remaining point guards in the class, Coleman is someone who is at the top of the priority list for Stanford.

UCLA gets legacy prospect Chuck O'Bannon Jr. on campus this weekend for his official visit. He is the son of former UCLA great Charles O’Bannon, and is one of the best pure shooters in the class. With his athleticism and shot making, the Bruins and many others on the West Coast have made him a priority.

Also UCLA hosts mobile big man Branden Carlson. Though Carlson is listed as a 2017 recruit, his enrollment will be delayed because of a two year LDS mission. Carlson is mobile, skilled, and has tremendous upside. The Bruins are hoping to make a big impression here.
