One of the top 2019 prospects in attendance at the USA Basketball Junior National Team Minicamp has been Christian Brown.
The 6-foot-6, 200-pound small forward from Columbia (S.C.) Flora has terrific energy and uses his size and motor to make plays on defense, finish in transition, has displayed an impressive feel and he also showed the ability to knock down jumpers.
“I slash, my shot is getting better and I drive,” Brown said. “I’m working on my handle.”
He listed Auburn and Clemson as two of the schools recruiting him the hardest and broke down what he likes about each of them.
Auburn: “I love the coaches; we hit it off the first time we met. I like the players but I really love the coaches.”
Clemson: “They get a good crowd there and everyone knows me. It’s a good coach and I really like Clemson.”
The four-star prospect will be looking for the right balance of athletics and academics.
“Academics is going to be big, that comes first,” Brown said. “I have to get it done in the classroom before I get it done on the court.”
