2018 post player Carte'Are Gordon commits to St. Louis

2018 post player Carte'Are Gordon opted to stay home and commit to St. Louis.

2018 post player Carte'Are Gordon verbally committed to Saint Louis on Wednesday.

Gordon, a standout at St. Louis (Mo.) Webster Groves, also considered Missouri, Kansas and a host of other schools. 

This past summer, Gordon played for USA Basketball's u17 team in the FIBA World Championships. During the run to the gold dedal, Gordon averaged 11.6 points and 5.6 rebounds a game. 

Gordon also played for MOKAN Elite on the EYBL circuit during the spring and summer. Program Director Matt Suther said he can St. Louis in a variety of ways.

"He has a great motor and plays physical," Suther said. "He can handle it, is good passer and is great defender."

Gordon averaged 10.6 points and 6.8 rebounds a game during the EYBL.

Gordon ranks as the No. 5 center prospect and the No. 41 overall prospect in 2018.
