Xavier Lands Power Forward

The Xavier Musketeers scored a key recruiting win on Wednesday when Top 100 power forward Josh Duncan picked the Musketeers.

Josh Duncan, an all-stater from Cincinnati Moeller, committed to Xavier at a press conference on Wednesday.

According to a source that was at the press conference, Duncan made it clear that Xavier had pretty much been his first choice for a long time. Apparently, Kentucky was his runner-up but speculation from month's ago that he was Xavier's to lose turned out to be correct.

Last year, Moeller upset Brookhaven in the state championship game. Duncan had 23 points and 12 rebounds in the contest. Duncan was named the MVP of the state title game. He averaged 18 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists on the season.

Duncan was named to the North Team at the USA Youth Development Festival.
