Roberts Reaches Decision

Brian Roberts visited an Atlantic 10 program last weekend. Apparently, things went well because he wasted little time in picking his next destination.

The Dayton Flyers doubled their recruiting class this week. First-year head coach Brian Gregory gained his second commitment when Toledo (OH) St. John's guard Brian Roberts committed.

Roberts visited Dayton last weekend and the guard picked the Flyers over Nebraska, Georgia, South Florida, Wichita State and a number of MAC programs.

"In reviewing my various college offers," Roberts said, "I felt the connections with the coaches at Dayton were strong and that coach Gregory has proven he knows what it takes to win."

Roberts joins Norman Plummer who committed in July.

The standout runs with the All-Ohio team on the AAU circuit. In high school last year he averaged 19 points, 3 rebounds and 3.5 assists. His best weapon is his jumpshot which he can make with reliability from mid-to-deep range.

Roberts was a third-team all-stater last year and played at the 2003 Nike All-American Camp.
