2019 Intro: SoCal center Carl Lewis

Carl Lewis is one of the top 2019 prospects on the West Coast. Here's an intro to his game and recruitment.

One of the most impressive 2019 prospects on the West Coast comes from Lynwood (Calif.) in center Carl Lewis.

The 6-foot-9, 250-post has a terrific frame with extremely wide shoulders, long arms and is a very good athlete for the position.

Lewis’ physical tools give him significant upside on both sides of the court but he’s not just an athlete, as he’s a very capable outside shooter for the position.

“I’m good in the post and I can shoot,” Lewis said. “I’m an all-around player. I want to keep working on my jumper.”

At this point Lewis says his recruitment hasn’t gotten started, but he listed Connecticut as a dream school and his older brother, Javonntie Jackson, plays for Long Beach State.

“I want to get a good education and play on a good team,” he said. “I want to go somewhere that wants it as bad as me.”
