Oklahoma State knows that they are going to have to replace firepower in the backcourt. With Phil Forte set to expire his eligibility and the potential that star sophomore Jawun Evans leaves for the NBA, Brad Underwood and his staff put a lot of focus on landing athletic and fast backcourt players, and on Friday one came int the fold in Amauri Hardy.
The Detroit native had a solid summer on the EYBL with The Family, and attracted interest from Georgia and Georgia Tech as well as the Cowboys, but in the end it was Underwood and his staff that locked down the commitment.
"I am blessed to announce my commitment to Oklahoma State," said Hardy.
Landing Hardy gives Oklahoma State a scoring point guard with a lot of quickness and a high motor. He should be able to fit in and provide depth in the backcourt when he gets to Stillwater.
