Q&A with five star point guard Trevon Duval

HYATTSVILLE, Md. -- Scout's No. 1 rated point guard Trevon Duval has yet to pick his college. Following a game at the National HS Hoops Festival, which was held at DeMatha Catholic, Duval sat down with Scout for a brief Q&A about his recruitment.

Evan Daniels: Seems like you’ve been focused more on facilitating this season, when I saw you in Georgia and here, is that accurate?
Trevon Duval: I think it’s just my bigs are really, really good. They make the game a lot easier to find them and find other people. I think they have helped my passing game a lot.

How has the experience at IMG been for your development?
It’s been great. I’ve been great in the gym, in the weight room, in the class room, all of the aspects it’s been good.

Where does everything stand with your recruitment?
Same deal. In 2017 I’ll be taking my visits.

Last time we talked, Duke hadn’t offered yet. How did that come about?
Duke’s always been in the picture for a long time. But now that they really, really want me and it’s getting closer to making my decision, it’s pretty cool to have a school like that involved.

What has Mike Krzyzewski’s pitch been to you?
Really everyone’s pitch from Duke has been that they need a point guard for next year and they feel I can come in and fill that role.

I know you’ve been to Kansas, what other schools on your list have you visited?
I’ve been to Seton Hall. I’ve been to Baylor for a game. Well I went to Duke when I was in eighth grade.

You said you’ll start visit at the beginning of next year, are you thinking decision around the time of the high school all-star games?
Around that time, depending on how quick my visits go.

Do you want to visit all five?
