Five-star center Austin Wiley enrolled at Auburn during the semester break, Bruce Pearl confirmed to Scout.
Wiley, a 6-foot-11 center prospect originally in the 2017 recruiting class, is eligible to play right away and is expected to play in the Tigers game against Mercer on Sunday.
There have long been rumors that Wiley would attempt to enroll early. Wiley enrolled last week and was cleared to play on Friday.
A strong, physical post presence, Wiley is known for his ability to rebound and protect the rim. He also showed strong advancements to his offensive game at the USA Basketball mini-camp in October.
Wiley played his first three seasons of high school at Spain Park (Ala.) High, before finishing up his final season at a prep school in Florida.
Both of Wiley's parents, Vickie Orr Wiley and Aubrey Wiley, played for Auburn. His mother was a three-time All-American, while his father led the SEC in rebounding in 1994.
Wiley was regarded as the No. 13 player in the 2017 class.
