Evan Daniels: This is the most confident I’ve seen you in with your jump shot, is that something you’ve been working on in the gym?
Elijah Hardy: That’s a true story. I'm just working in the gym. That’s where the jump shot is all about confidence so if you have confidence you’re going to hit shots.
Has that turned out to be a strength of yours now?
Hopefully, that’s not my greatest strength, hopefully my greatest strength is running the team.
How do you think you’re doing at that?
I think I did pretty well with that in the first half. The second half I did better at the end but I got to stay on that the whole game.
What’s the next step in your development?
Getting bigger and stronger and just getting better at running my team. And you know we have great teammates and they’re helping me do that.
How’s the recruiting process going?
It’s well it’s going fine. Kind of slow right now. But it should pick up if I keep playing in these tournaments.
What schools are really prioritizing you right now?
Cal-Berkeley, Santa Clara, and San Jose.
Have you taken any visits?
Yeah I took unofficial visits to all three of them.
What sticks out to you about Cal?
Just the culture up there. I’ve been around there for a while now and of course Ivan Rabb is going there, the coaches, the coaching staff, the welcome me.
You mention Santa Clara what do you like about those guys?
I just definitely like the coaching staff. They’re real. They just speak to me on a real standpoint, they’re just great human beings that really have a good team and they all respect each other.
And lastly San Jose…
Great coaching staff, they’re a rebuilding program right now, they’ve been winning some good games, they’re playing hard together, and I like the coaching staff.
