Power forward Jermaine Harris showed an intriguing combination of size, athleticism, toughness, and energy at the DMV Tip-Off. The 2018 prospect had a very good game, and proved he could be one of the more intriguing power forward prospects on the circuit this spring.
“It has been going good,” said Harris of his junior season. “We had to get it together at the beginning of the year, but we are undefeated and playing well.”
About his game and what he is working on, Harris said, “I have been working on my perimeter game. I am working on my jump shot and my handle, and just trying to get more versatile.”
Currently Harris is already on the high-major radar and numerous schools continue to pick up the pace in his recruitment.
Bob Huggins and the Mountaineers have always liked to recruit in Washington D.C., and they continue to do that with Harris.
“They’ve come to two or three of my games already,” noted Harris. “They are recruiting me very hard. I also like their style of play and I know Coach Huggins is a great coach.”
Another school showing a lot of interest is Virginia Tech. Harris has seen the Virginia Tech campus, and has good things to say about the school.
“I have an offer from them and I feel like they have a family atmosphere there and I have a good bond with their coaching staff,” said Harris.
Do not expect any kind of early decision from Harris who intends to play out the spring and summer before making a college decision.
