2017 wing Darius Banks was at one time committed to Duquesne. But the wing out of Saint Petersburg (Fla.) High backed off that pledge is considering his options.
And the list of possibilities is fairly long.
“I haven’t set up any [visits] yet,” Banks told Scout. “I’m waiting for my season to end.”
Although Banks sat out the City of Palms Classic with a minor injury, it’s not surprise some of the top schools in his region, plus others are showing interest.
Banks, a 6-foot-15, 185-pounder, is a talented slasher and scorer. Banks is regarded as the No. 34 small forward prospect in the 2017 recruiting class.
“I’m an all-around player,” Banks said. “I can give you the outside and inside. I like to go to the basket more.”
What’s the next step in his development?
“My dribble pull-up jumper,” he said.
Although interest is coming in, Banks isn’t in a rush, as he wants to examine all of his options until his senior season ends.
“I’m wide open at this point,” he said.
At this point, Banks is tracking to make his college choice in April.null
