Burleson Has Variety

The #9 point guard on the west coast, Seattle's Lyndale Burleson had a solid summer performance. He has a variety of schools he's hearing from, and not just from the west coast...

Lyndale Burleson, 6-2 SR PG, Seattle (Wash.) Franklin, the #9-ranked point guard on the west coast, is hearing from a variety of schools.

Burleson said he's hearing the most from Montana and Pepperdine. "But Oklahoma, Tennessee have talked to my dad," he said. "And recently Portland and Portland State have contacted us."

Without having taken the SAT or ACT, Burleson, who has a 2.5 GPA, cannot take official visits, but he has a plan for it all. "I'm going to take the SAT in October," he said. "I have a tutor and I'm taking it very seriously. Then I'll start making plans to take official visits. After I take the test, then I'll see who is really serious about recruiting me."

Burleson said he doesn't want to leave recruiting hanging very long. "I'd like to get it over with.I wouldn't want to wait too long. But I'm not sure, because you really never know what could happen. If I don't feel there's a place I want to go. But right now, I still have to find out who's recruiting me seriously. My dad's been handling a lot of it. So, right now I'm not close to deciding."
