Five-star class of 2018 point guard Prentiss Hubb is one of the most wanted players on the East Coast. Hubb is having an excellent junior season, and now he says he is getting close to narrowing down his list.
Playing in the same backcourt with four-star class of 2017 prospect Chris Lykes, Hubb plays on and off the ball, and is working hard to continue to refine his game.
“It is going pretty good as a team,” said Hubb of the season. “We lost a couple of games, but we are trying to get better and better and to come together as a team.”
He continued, “I am working to be more of a point guard. Also I am working to improve my ball handling and shooting off the dribble along with getting stronger.”
When it comes to the recruiting trail Hubb has significant interest. Already he has offers from Villanova, Maryland, Georgetown, Cincinnati, Xavier, Marquette, Virginia, Miami, Wake Forest, USC, and others.
About his recruitment, Hubb said, “A lot of schools have been in, but I am about to slim down my list pretty soon.”
Hubb continued, “I think I am going to cut it to five or six schools before the end of this season.”
So far this season Hubb has only had a chance to stay local and visit Maryland.
About the trip to College Park, Hubb said, “I went to the Maryland game when they played Pittsburgh. Even though Maryland lost it was a hyped game and the crowd was really into it. The fast pace of the game was something that was really good.”
Look for Hubb to narrow his list soon, and then to make a final decision after the summer when he plays with DC Premier.
