Class of 2019 guard Al-Amir Dawes has a trio of scholarship offers

One of the emerging guards on the East Coast in the class of 2019 is Al-Amir Dawes who now has three scholarship offers.

In the class of 2019 one of the prospects who has really emerged this year is Al-Amir Dawes. The New Jersey product has shined playing for Mike Rice at the Patrick School, and already holds a trio of offers.

Dawes plays a combo guard role for his high school team, and he continues to make an impact in a variety of ways while also trying to improve as a player.

“The season is going good,” said Dawes. “We are playing well. I am focused on being more of a leader for the team, and just doing everything I can to help us get wins.”

In terms of what he is focused on improving, Dawes said, “I know I have to continue to get stronger and continue to work as a point guard.”

On the recruiting trail three schools have already come forward with offers.

“I have offers from Seton Hall, DePaul, and Minnesota,” said Dawes.

While at this point Dawes says he isn’t focused on his recruitment, he knows it is big to get those early offers.

“It feels good to have all of that early attention,” said Dawes. “I know I have to keep working hard though, and that I need to continue to improve to be ready for college.”
